What About Sarah Palin...

11/14   GOP GOVERNORS JEALOUS OF
PALIN AT PRESS CONFERENCE

"A free-for-all for the nomination between Romney, Huck, and Palin would be fascinating insofar as it would leave Mitt open to tack gently away from the culture warrior persona he cultivated last year and be more of the technocrat he seems better suited to being.... Anyone can say “life begins at conception,” but how many people can organize the Olympics?Palinmania May Stop Romney From Running, Hot Air, 11/15
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Michael Steele, who seems to be the de facto leader of the GOP (who knows), had a telephone conference with bloggers on Friday.  Who was included?  I wouldn't know.  When someone gets screwed:  little leagues, corporations, spouses -- it's usually an inside job.

I have been calling for a conference to stop the juggernaut that seems to be gaining steam.  When people of influence start talking about Romney and Huckabee and Palin as if those are our three choices (love it or leave it), then our destiny looks pretty bleak.

Sarah Palin is a thrilling candidate inasmuch as she is not tainted with the old brand of politics that we are pretty disgusted with by now.  Did I jump on her bandwagon early?  You betcha.  I was always going to vote for McCain over Obama.  She gave me reason to do it without gagging.

Over the course of the campaign, I perused and added articles to this website to promote her candidacy.  I read opinion from all perspectives.  Good and bad, and the bad was pretty ugly.  Sometimes I just posted the article without reading it because I just didn't want to know.

I determined that Sarah was a fantastic new face but she did seem woefully inadequate in certain areas.  Foreign policy being the most glaring.

However, four years is a long time to get up to speed.  Obama will have a crash course where he hopefully leaves us out of the wreckage.  Palin will have a better opportunity to learn without having to suffer the consequences of ineptitude.  We'll be watching her all the while.

But what I don't appreciate is already being force fed candidates in October, 2008.   Give me a break.

How did the Democrats find their Godot?

He certainly wasn't the next one in the queue.  We need to take note of that.

-------------------------------

He didn't show up, just at the end of the day, after Huffington Post-ed the job opening.  Wanted:  A Savior.

To attract the youth vote, they found youth.  To attract an electorate wanting change, they found change.  To win, they found someone who actually really wanted to.

It wasn't a complicated formula, but it took more than sitting under a tree, gnawing on chicken bones.  It took planning, and a little giving and taking.  It required people to shut up for a minute, just long enough to accomplish the task.

Instead of walking out on the performance, we should be reviewing notes of the Democrats' stage play, brilliantly executed, stunningly performed.

And, with critiques in tow, we should meet to design our own play.  New media, idea marketers, bloggers and writers of all kinds.  Creative thinkers.  More producers, less directors.

Libertarians, conservatives, independents, all.   We need to join up and understand that nobody is going to crown himself our leader without our approval.  We refuse to be told "this is the guy!".  Here is what happens when regular voters have establishment candidates shoved down their throats:  Hillary.

I am calling on you.   Get up from under the tree, stop tugging on your boot.  Go out and make something happen.  The Democrats proved it could be done, as if you didn't know it already.

Let's have a conference.  Let's plan an attack.  I'm not talking about CPAC or the other meetings where the usual suspects strut around stage seeking confirmation.   In fact, I am rejecting anyone who has heretofore rejected me.   Anyone who voted for the bailout, anyone who has been part of the system that has grown government to its present monster state.  Anyone who is part of the status-quo who rejected individual producers in favor of some collectivist idea of common good.

The tragicomedy Waiting for Godot has two acts.  This is the second act.  To Act means somebody has to do something.  Which means we all don't attach ourselves to blogs, we come together to discuss the situation and reach a consensus.

Are you ready to do something?  email

Play the Newest Game Sweeping the Nation
Bail-out!
Up to millions can play at a time.

All you need to play is someone to be the "banker" and tons of paper.  Use your computer to print out "dollars" that the banker gives out to players who can create the best excuses for needing the money.  Start with billions.

If billions isn't enough, just print more til all the banker's friends have gotten enough money. Then, just flip the board and play "Bail-In!"  The banker goes to the losers who didn't have excuses and takes their money from them to pay for "Bail-Out!" The people who get bailed-in are really losers both times!  It's so hysterically fun tears will roll down your cheeks!  And it's FREE!  Just in time for Christmas!

11/10  7:45 am:  Yesterday I was in line at the Food Lion.  A young couple in front of me, able-bodied, white, with an infant, were paying for their groceries. The wife handed over her government issued "credit card" (the newer, handier version of food stamps).

After she used our money to pay for her loot, she and her husband then loaded two cases of Bud Light on the counter, which they paid for in cash.

That couple had no guilt about what they were doing - using their money for beer and our money for bread......What Mark Steyn doesn't mention are the millions in other countries who are now anxious to do the same under the guise of global unity. -- sara

11/12:  Obama lost 8 points for wanting Rahm "The Enforcer" Emanuel as Chief of Staff and expressing interest in Bobby Kennedy Jr. as Head of the EPA.  About Kennedy.
"At the Live Earth concert in New Jersey last month, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. denounced climate-change skeptics as “corporate toadies” for “villainous” enemies of America and the human race. “This is treason,” he shouted, “and we need to start treating them now as traitors.” -source

After finding out about Obama's "Compulsive National Slavery Act of 2008", we should reset the bar to 0%, but since we know things will only get worse, we have to have somewhere to go.   Although requiring voluntary service is currently unconstitutional, Barack has mentioned what he thinks of the Constitution in its current form.   (He thinks it needs some stretching).   8 points lost for trying to impose a daddy state.
--------------------------
Update 11/12:  They may have scrubbed the Slavery Act from their change.gov website, but the newly discovered audio of Emanuel's proposal for it in 2006 means it'll happen.

And, leaking his conversation with President Bush to his pals in the MSM shows exactly how this guy will "Rule" us.    Down 15% more.

"We (Congressional Democrats) could spend the entire next four years investigating the Bush years,” Mr. Whitehouse said.

Everything at the Obama campaign fundraising office has been given the all-clear (no audit necessary! feds say).

Barney and Friends not only get a pass on their Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac deals but get to head the inquisition.

Guantanamo detainees will get trial lawyers to plan their release into American suburbs.

And Congress will spend four years investigating Bush.

With Gore pointing his fingers at American families for global warming, with China pointing its missiles at our neighborhoods and Putin and Chavez plotting strategy, with a Treasury Secretary ran amok spending our money like a drunk at a Las Vegas bachelor party, it's good to see Congress has its priorities straight.

I want to be a Congressperson too.  It's not even a real job. It's like being hired to clean the toilet, but critiquing the local restaurants instead.  And your boss sits there, scratching his head thinking "WTF?"  So he just goes and cleans the toilet, all the while wondering why he's the one cleaning the toilet while you're eating chili pumpkin ravioli and drinking wine.

It's really so easy to criticize, it's hardly worth doing so.

It all falls on deaf ears, doesn't it?

On the Daily Kos:

Obama's plans for bi-partisanship and reaching across the aisle don't count for
Joe Lieberman, public enemy #1 of the "unifiers":

"Now is the time for the Senate Dems to show that they intend to be Leaders going forward. Unfortunately it seems that once again, we will need to push them into action.

I am trying very hard to follow Obama's example of forgive, but I cannot forget easily what Joe has done, and I do not feel that he deserves a committee chairmanship that many Senators wait a very long time for after his recent actions.

Please take a few minutes to call or write before the likely Nov. 18th meeting and vote."

I have no idea what Obama's "example of forgive" means but perhaps it has something to do with Bill Ayers.

Unity means:  Never Going Against Barack Obama.

  November 9th  8:30 am

I was trolling around the internet looking for Draft Sarah Palin Websites. I found a site called sara-palin.com when searching under "sarah palin blog".

Sarah Palin For President 2012

The official Sarah Palin for President 2012 website. We have a biography, pictures, videos, photos, and up to date news.
www.sarah-palin.com/ - 18k - Cached - Similar pages

It calls itself the "official support site of Sarah Palin."  It looks very supportive of Palin, including a nice photo.

But as you read it more carefully, there are very subtle digs about her qualifications, beauty, etc.  Still, it seemed lots of people had commented, all very supportive of Sarah running in 2012.

I went back to google and did another search, this time using the search "sarah palin website".

On page 3,  I found this:

The Official Sarah Palin Blog

Sarah Palin Spoof Site - News, Photos, Pictures, Biography, and much more. .... If I do I’m sure news stations will say “look at Sarah-Palin.com”, ...
www.sarah-palin.com/ - 52k - Cached - Similar pages

Sneaky, huh?

The site owner has switched from being openly Anti-Sarah to seemingly supportive of Sarah in order (I think) to boost the site's rankings prior to the next election.

So, in a couple of years, when people are looking for Sarah Palin websites, that site will top the list.

Clever, huh?  This exemplifies the dishonest methods of our opponents.

As I've said before, I think these people are terrorists.  They employ the same practices- patience, manipulation and secrecy.  They are good planners.

We will need to be better discerners. I don't suggest we stoop to copy their contemptible ways.......but we need to call them out whenever we spot their deceptive manipulations.

And I'm doing it here.  If you can think of a better way to call them out, let me know.

The worst part of it is:  Google could be complicit in the dishonesty.  Why do anti-Sarah Palin sites get such high rankings when pro-Sarah Palin websites don't?  Google can pretend it's due to "complicated algorithms" but give me a break.

Google founder Eric Schmidt is on Obama's advisory board.
